Settling into college

College is a whole new beginning for me, well at least I thought it was going to be - I've gone to a different college to all my friends but I figured our friendship wouldn't change and I'd just make new friends, but I'm finding it really hard making friends I talk to people in my classes and they're sweet but it doesn't go beyond that. Everyone already seems to have there own lil friendship groups so I've spent a lot of my first month at college wandering around on my own and reading my book in a quiet corner, one positive is that my college has such beautiful surroundings to potter around.

Apart from the social aspect of college, I am really enjoying it as I love my courses. I'm taking psychology, philosophy and photography and I have a deep interest in all of them so I'm never bored in class and I strangely enjoy the coursework? At the moment for photography I'm working on my first project which is self portrait, although I hate taking pictures of myself I'm happy to be taking pictures again as I haven't done much photography since I took it early at GCSE. These are a few of my pictures so far

Lulu's Preston vintage fair

I had a lovely Sunday last weekend at lulus vintage fair in Preston. Everyone was so friendly and kind! I walked in and I was surrounded by wonderful vintage clothing and accessories! I finally felt like i fit in as everyone was dressed in lovely vintage pieces and they were all so welcoming! I chatted to loads of lovely people and I picked up this lovely red blazer for £15 from the sweetest lil' lady at a stall, I put on the blazer bought it and I put my hand in my pocket and discovered an autumn leaf!
I also picked up this lovely vintage scarf which I can wear as a headband for only a £4 and one of the vintage hairdressers helped me it in.
After a lil wander around me and mum spotted a lil cafe in the corner and we had a cup of tea and a piece of cake, I couldn't resist a slice of the 'oh so Oreo' cake.

Mind, body, spirit and wellness psychic fayre

I didn't plan on going to the fayre, I planned on having a quiet Sunday at home but on my way home from work on Saturday I got handed a lil leaflet advertising an "all things psychic" fayre and it really intrigued me so I went the next morning and dragged mum along.
The Faye really was wonderful! There was stalls all around selling crystals, vintage clothes, psychics, tarot readers, crystal healers and so on. I was truly in my element and for once I didn't feel out of place and like an outsider as everyone was so welcoming and friendly, I didn't feel judged like normal whenever I walk the streets! I couldn't help but pick up these lovely lovely crystals/chakra stones - I cleansed them as soon as I got home but I haven't had chance to work with them yet as I've been so busy with college!

I spotted a sweet lil' lady sat by a stall and something intrigued me about her and it turned out she was  a fortune teller! I've always wanted to have my fortune read but I've never been old enough but as I've just recently turned 16 now I finally could! She was so accurate and lovely, she said she can see my reaching my goal and being able to work for myself whilst working with children, a marriage in the future with a small family possible 1-2 children and the part that interested me the most was the fact that she said she could feel a psychic sense from my aura and she told me to work on it - I've always been interested in psychics, tarot reading and palm reading so when I have a bit of free time I'm going to look into it!

afternoon tea for two

A couple of months my mum picked me up from my little saturday job at the charity shop in town and told me she had discovered a lovely little tea shop that had just opened and as a little treat we went to check it out - as soon as i walked down the pebbled path towards the vintage styled outdoor seating surrounded by pink and white gingham bunting I knew this would quickly become one of my favourite spots,

as I walked into the beautifully decorated vintage muse house i completely fell in love, it honestly is a vintage lovers heaven, the walls are floral with bunting hung from the ceiling and the staff were all in vintage pinafores with ribbon around their head and lil' dolly shoes. They sell a variety of homemade food, you can simply nip in for a slice of cake and a cup of tea or a full lunch! I recently had my 16th birthday here and it was absolutely lovely! There is such a warm atmosphere and the staff are all so kind! It is called "the old stables vintage tea shop" it is located at the rear of west street in chorley - you can find them on google, it honestly is such a lovely lil place!
